Project Overview

Located in Jardines del Pedregal, Mexico City, this 8,700-square-foot custom luxury residence is organized around a sequence of layered spaces that blur the boundary between interior and exterior. The architecture is grounded in rough, exposed concrete, used consistently across façades, structural walls, and interior planes to establish continuity and tectonic clarity.

The residence is conceived as a series of horizontal volumes, articulated by deep overhangs, recessed glazing, and planted terraces that soften the massing while reinforcing privacy and environmental control.

Architectural Language & Materiality

Exposed concrete is the primary architectural language of the house—not as an aesthetic gesture, but as a structural and spatial strategy. Its texture, weight, and tonal variation define the character of both exterior and interior spaces, creating a sense of permanence and restraint.

Glass is used selectively and precisely, carving voids within the concrete volumes and allowing light to penetrate deep into the home while maintaining a strong sense of enclosure and privacy.

At the heart of the residence is a double-height living room, conceived as the main spatial anchor of the house.

Double-Height Living Space

At the heart of the residence is a double-height living room, conceived as the main spatial anchor of the house. This volume establishes vertical connection between levels while allowing natural light to wash across the concrete surfaces throughout the day.

Art, furniture, and circulation elements are carefully scaled against this height, reinforcing the sense of openness without overwhelming the space. The result is a living environment that feels expansive, composed, and intimate at the same time.

The pool space reads as an interior room rather than an accessory amenity, framed by concrete walls, controlled openings, and reflected light.

Covered & Heated Pool

A covered and heated pool is seamlessly integrated into the architectural composition, extending the home’s living experience year-round. The pool space reads as an interior room rather than an accessory amenity, framed by concrete walls, controlled openings, and reflected light.

This integration reinforces the continuity between architecture and lifestyle, positioning wellness and leisure as intrinsic parts of the spatial experience.

Circulation, Light & Interior Continuity

Circulation spaces are treated as architectural moments rather than transitions. Open staircases, double-height voids, and visual connections between levels allow light and movement to shape the interior experience.

Interior finishes remain restrained, allowing the architecture itself—light, proportion, and material—to define the atmosphere. Artwork and furnishings are used sparingly, acting as focal points against the neutral concrete backdrop.

A Timeless Pedregal Residence

Jardines del Pedregal House reflects a design philosophy rooted in clarity, permanence, and spatial intelligence. Rather than following trends, the project embraces a timeless architectural language that aligns with the volcanic landscape and modernist legacy of Pedregal—delivering a residence that is both expressive and enduring.
